How is it paid?
The legislator has determined an algorithm for how vacation in the Ministry of Internal Affairs is paid: funds are paid based on the amount of salary determined on the date of departure and monthly additional payments. This is a short period that takes a maximum of three days. There are several circumstances in which the specified time may be granted:
- death of a close relative;
- own wedding;
- another valid reason is related to the police officer himself or his close relative.
The basis for granting such a period is an application. In this case, the application must contain an indication of a specific circumstance. In some cases, it will need to be confirmed in writing, because such days will be paid as working days.
How many days such a period is is indicated in the Regulations on service in the Department of Internal Affairs. The basic norms are contained in labor legislation. According to them, every employee of the internal affairs body has the right to receive a short-term period in the event of the birth of a child.
Typically, three days are provided. Essentially, this is a family matter. Therefore, you need to write a statement indicating the birth of a child as the reason.
As stated above, the basic leave of a police officer is 35 days. However, it does not include Sundays and holidays. For example, if during the holiday there are 5 Sundays and two holidays, then it will increase and amount to 42 days.

Other civil servants also have the right to additional days of rest.
According to current legislation, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are provided with an increase to the basic rest for length of service. This is regulated by Art. 56 Federal Law No. 342.
Thus, police officers, according to their length of service, have the right to apply for additional days of rest. Depending on their experience, they can receive:
- 5-10 years – additional 3 days;
- 10-15 years – additional 5;
- 15-20 years – additional 10;
- more than 20 years of service – additional 15 days of vacation.

When a person has an irregular working day, he is given additional days of rest for this. This procedure is regulated in Art. 101 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, which states that the employer is obliged to give employees additional rest if they work beyond the norm.
In this case, the presence of an irregular schedule must be indicated in the employment contract or in the internal documents of the organization, which indicate specific persons.
In the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a similar list includes employees in all institutions of the country holding the following positions:
- bosses;
- employees with unlimited working hours;
- workers with a working day divided into several parts, but without an exact duration;
- employees whose work is evaluated by the final result.

At the same time, the number of bonus days in the Ministry of Internal Affairs is divided as follows:

What types of leave are available for police officers?

There are several types of periods during which a police officer can rest. However, it is necessary to take into account that the duration of the vacation is directly dependent on how complex the responsibilities are assigned to the citizen, as well as what his official position is.

- The duration of rest time, which is payable and provided every year, is 35 days. This value is classified as basic.
