Documents confirming family income

Documents confirming income can be obtained at your place of official employment. The certificate must include the following information:

  1. The person's position;
  2. Date of issue of paper;
  3. Text with approximate content: “The certificate was issued by the company ____ and confirms that the official salary, full name ______, per month is equal to ____ rubles.”

The form of the received document can be free or personal income tax-2. All information provided in it relates to the employee’s last year of work. An additional document that will confirm your earnings can be an income statement or a bank card statement. A certificate confirming income for a pensioner is a certified copy of a pension certificate or a certificate from the nearest territorial body of the Pension Fund, which states that the person receives a pension in the established amount.

If the company of which you were an employee was liquidated, then obtaining a certificate of the amount of earnings will be quite problematic. First of all, you need to find the company’s archives or seek help from its liquidator. In exceptional cases, when searches are unsuccessful, the court will help establish the fact that you received income.

For individual entrepreneurs, documents confirming family income are a tax return for the reporting period. It must have a special mark from the tax office indicating that the document has been accepted by it.

For unemployed people, confirmation is an extract from the social security authority stating that the person has no income. Additionally, you may need a photocopy of the page of the work book with a record of acceptance and dismissal from the place of work. As an option, you can provide a certificate from the Employment Center.

Family income certificate

Confirmation of family income, as a single document, is issued by social security authorities. This paper serves as proof that the student's family is low-income. A certificate of family income is issued on the basis of several documents:

Let us remind you that in order to recognize a family as low-income, it is necessary to prove that the average monthly income of all family members over the last three months does not exceed the subsistence level. Since the student is one of the family members, he is also required to provide a certificate of income. In this case, the scholarship he currently receives is taken into account.

Features of issuing income certificates for different purposes

Banks usually require proof of income in order to assess the client’s solvency and determine the size of the loan that can be issued to him. There are other situations in which a certificate can be useful: traveling abroad, registration at the labor exchange, as evidence in court, when going through bankruptcy proceedings and in some other cases. Let's talk about the main situations in more detail.

To obtain a loan

The main certificate required for a loan and confirming the level of income is taken at work in the accounting department. It is issued within 1–2 days using the 2-NDFL form or the bank form.

It indicates data on funds received into the personal account for the period required by the bank. Usually this is 6 months. Only official salary is taken into account.

and study an example of correctly filling out a certificate in form 2-NDFL:

If an employer uses a “gray” salary payment scheme, then the bank needs to clarify whether they take the unofficial part of the salary as offset. If yes, then you should find a way to confirm it by providing an account statement.

Sometimes a certificate of income is not needed for a loan. You can take out a loan online on a card without certificates or confirmations, you only need a passport. In this case, some banks increase the interest rate or obtain the information themselves if the applicant is a payroll client. Such clients are provided with a preferential rate, so it is beneficial to contact the bank where the salary card is opened.

Does the bank check the 2-NDFL certificate?

All information about potential borrowers is carefully verified. You should not bring a fake document - a credit inspector or bank security service will definitely notice this.

The initial review is carried out by a loan officer. He accepts the document from the potential borrower and establishes its authenticity. Data on legal addresses, telephone numbers, company names, seals, etc. are verified.

To do this, the inspector may request information from the register of legal entities. persons Maybe call the chief accountant of your company. Can compare the average salary level for this specialty for this region.

Factors that may alert a bank employee:

  • a sharp increase in the salary of a potential borrower;
  • incorrect completion of the 2-NDFL certificate;
  • errors in deduction codes, typos, blots, incorrect calculation of amounts;
  • unclear signature of the person who prepared the document for the bank.

If a potential borrower applies to a bank for a mortgage or a large loan, then the security service is involved in the verification. They can make a formal request to the tax office or pension service, or request copies of the company's payroll records.

It takes a long time to officially verify document data, so banks often use roundabout ways. They use personal connections with employees of private companies or government agencies to confirm the data of the submitted documents. They call the client’s relatives and friends, check his information in the credit history bureau.

The probability of receiving a loan using a fake document is approximately 50/50. It all depends on the verification methods that are available to a given lender. Providing a fake 2-NDFL certificate is regarded as fraud under Art. 159 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: the borrower may face serious consequences.

Only clients who have a positive history of loans with a particular institution can be subject to much less intensive verification. And, as a rule, such banks already offer pre-approved loans to their “white” borrowers.

To obtain a visa

A certificate of income for obtaining a visa is a mandatory document when obtaining the right to enter a number of Western countries. It is drawn up by the employer and is in free form.

This is what an income certificate for a visa may look like:

Its main function is to confirm that the citizen will not remain in the country as an illegal migrant. Low income is grounds for visa refusal.

A certificate is required when applying for an entry permit to the following countries:

  • countries participating in the Schengen Agreement;
  • United Kingdom;
  • countries of North America.

A number of other states also require that proof of income be submitted to the embassy along with other documents. Its form differs depending on the type of employment of the citizen. For individual entrepreneurs, notaries and lawyers, a certificate of personal account status, which is obtained from the bank, is relevant. The rest are required to take it from the employer.

The visa income certificate form must contain the following information:

  • details of the employing company;
  • date of issue of the document and its originating number;
  • the position of the employee who submitted the request, his full name and date of employment;
  • average salary in national currency (some countries, when applying for entry rights, require you to indicate the amount of funds received over the last 6 months);
  • date of expected return to work;
  • signatures of the specialist who issued the certificate and the director of the company;
  • indicate that the document is provided at the place of request.

It is recommended to clarify the requirements for paperwork in advance with the specific consulate or embassy.

When a citizen does not have an official income or is an individual entrepreneur, he can provide a certificate of funds in his account to obtain a visa. Based on current legislation, a certificate of income for an individual entrepreneur for a visa is obtained from the bank where the account is opened.

The following requirements apply to it:

  • shelf life 30 days;
  • registration on bank letterhead;
  • indication of full details;
  • indications of the client’s full name and other personal data;
  • account balance information.

A number of countries require additional information on the movement of funds over the past six months. It is important that the main seal of the bank is round in shape. Typically, such a certificate is prepared within 3 days and costs from 100 to 500 rubles.

Requirements for the balance amount depend on where exactly the visa is issued. In European countries it is 62 euros per day per person. In the USA and Canada this amount is much higher. When traveling to Europe for 10 days, the applicant must have at least 620 euros or a similar amount in national currency in his personal account.

It is highly recommended not to contact organizations that offer to issue a certificate with the required balance. All information is checked by consulate specialists. If the information received does not correspond to reality, the applicant automatically receives a multi-year visa refusal.

Each country has special requirements for the documentation provided.

A few examples:

  • the British consulate requires documents to be certified by a notary and a translation into English attached;
  • France requires the details of the bank branch that issued the certificate, and not the central branch of the bank;
  • Italy is ready to review credit card statements if the balance on them is fully restored.

Registration of a certificate for the labor exchange

To receive unemployment benefits, you must issue an appropriate certificate of income received over the last three months of work.

Such certificates can be issued by employees upon dismissal and desire to find employment in the future with the help of the state Employment Center.

To register with the Employment Center, if this is precisely the goal pursued by the individual. person, you will need to download a special form on average earnings and fill it out, providing reliable information according to the available facts.

Here is the income certificate form for the labor exchange and instructions for filling it out:

In order for a citizen to have the opportunity to receive assistance in finding a job, he must be officially registered with the employment center and have unemployed status. Thanks to the wages received for three months, the unemployment benefit is calculated, which the citizen will receive at a time when, for some reason, he will not be able to carry out work.

Depending on the relationship with the last organization in which the unemployed worked, the list of documents and registration conditions may differ.

There are two main options:

  1. voluntary dismissal. Identity documents, education received, advanced training courses and income certificate;
  2. reduction. You must register no later than two weeks from the date of dismissal, providing not only identification documents, but also information about earnings for the last three months.

Certificate of income of an individual (form 2-NDFL)

  • Employee's monthly income.
  • Accrued and paid wages for a period of at least six months.
  • Various deductions for taxes and insurance. If the certificate indicates “net” wages, then taxes and insurance may not be indicated.
  • If the organization has arrears in payments to the employee, it is necessary to indicate the amount.

And work is a sign of status, social position in society, and not just a way to receive money and spend it with more or less awareness. Of course, everyone can work as they wish. But under all conditions, work is always associated with receiving a salary, which is called income.

Where to get a certificate of income

The certificate is issued by the employer and is ideal when the company regularly and fully pays taxes and makes contributions to extra-budgetary insurance funds. This certificate is signed by the director and chief accountant of the company. In other words, if you receive a “white” salary, then there is no problem.

Each employee has the right to contact his employer to obtain a salary document. The manager is obliged to present it to the employee within three days. In practice, situations often arise when an employer, for various reasons, avoids issuing a document.

But what if in 2-NDFL the employer does not indicate all of the employee’s real earnings, but what he does not indicate is enough? Previously, when issuing loans, banks only required a 2-NDFL certificate. But now the applicant can also prove the real amount of his earnings with the help of other documents.

Certificate for social security benefits on income for 3 months sample

The certificate for social security benefits is signed by the head of the enterprise and the chief accountant (accountant). If there is no chief accountant (accountant) in the organization, then a note is made about this, for example, “the position of an accountant is not provided for in the staffing table.”

It is important to indicate exactly what kind of income the employee received - whether it was wages or whether benefits were paid, for example, for child care, pregnancy and childbirth. When calculating income, accrued amounts are taken into account, i.e. before deduction of personal income tax. If an employee pays alimony, but it is excluded from income when calculating, therefore the certificate also focuses on this.

The period for issuing a certificate through the MFC is usually no more than 10 working days. The decision to officially assign the status of a low-income family is made after 3 days.

Certificate of income of an individual entrepreneur (individual entrepreneur)

Individual entrepreneurs have no other options for confirming their income, so a certificate of income for an entrepreneur is issued exclusively in the form of a tax return. At the same time, all the requirements for filling it out are the same as when submitting a declaration to the tax authorities.

In many situations, it is necessary to present a document confirming the citizen’s income. And if the employee has no difficulties with this, the employer is obliged to issue such a document. There are a number of subtleties here for an individual entrepreneur. Let us note right away that a certificate of income of an individual entrepreneur in the usual form does not exist, since the legislation does not contain such a concept at all.

About the certificate form

For working citizens, there is a 2-NDFL income certificate, which is prepared by an accountant. But an individual entrepreneur cannot issue such a certificate to himself in the approved form. It’s good if an entrepreneur works as an employee at the same time, his employer will help him. But where can I get a certificate of income for an individual entrepreneur if he is only engaged in business? The issue is easily resolved: the entrepreneur can write it out himself.

The certificate must be issued on the entrepreneur’s letterhead. If it is not there, the header should list basic information about the individual entrepreneur. This is INN, OGRNIP, address, contact phone number, email.

The text of such a certificate can be arbitrary, but certain information must be indicated, namely:

  • name of the document and date of its signing;
  • last name, first name, patronymic of the entrepreneur;
  • the amount of income of the entrepreneur - in order to avoid mistakes, it is better to write it in numbers and words;
  • position and full name of the persons signing the certificate. This is usually the entrepreneur himself, but if you have an accountant, you can also include him.

Income is confirmed for the period for which the certificate is required at the place of presentation. It should be included in the title of the document. That is, it may be called, for example, “Certificate of income of individual entrepreneurs for 2021.” The content of the document and its form can be free. The main thing is that the amount of income and the period are clearly clear from the text.

The right decision would be to provide a certificate of income when it is needed. This is especially true if you need to confirm income since the beginning of the current year.

Child benefits up to 18 years of age in 2019 for low-income families, Smir24

  • divorce certificate and information about alimony if the spouses are divorced;
  • certificates from a kindergarten or school if the child receives any benefits;
  • income statement for individual entrepreneurs;
  • a copy of the work book for pensioners;
  • a certificate from Rosreestr and a certificate of ownership of the property.

Benefits for low-income families are divided into federal and regional, respectively, and they are paid either from the first budget or from the second. At the same time, most federal payments are indexed, and the size of regional payments remains at the discretion of local authorities.

Let's sum it up

We figured out how an individual entrepreneur can make a certificate of his income himself and confirm it with other documents.

A certificate confirming the income of an individual entrepreneur, which he issues to himself independently, is drawn up in any form. After all, there is no approved form for this document. It may be needed, for example, by social security authorities. But in most cases, it is necessary to confirm the income of an individual entrepreneur with tax returns and accounting registers. This is required, for example, by banks if an entrepreneur wants to take out a loan. Which document needs to be presented depends on the tax system and the period for which you need to confirm income.

In conclusion, we would like to add that you can sometimes obtain a certificate of income for an individual entrepreneur from the Federal Tax Service. This is not a generally accepted practice, but some tax inspectorates meet entrepreneurs halfway and issue such certificates based on the data they have.

Do you want child benefits? Show proof of income

— About one million Muscovites turn to our departments just to process various cash payments every year. Moreover, 37 percent of them receive social benefits for children. Already this year we began to fight queues. For example, a certificate of income to confirm the right to child benefit can be provided in any convenient way: personally come to the nearest social protection department or multifunctional center (MFC), send documents by regular mail or by e-mail in the form of scanned copies. This can also be done on our department’s website in the “Acceptance of electronic applications” window (www.dszn.ru). In most cases, you don’t have to go anywhere to get government services converted into electronic form! It is enough to fill out the interactive application form and send the document through your personal account on the Public Services Portal (www.pgu.mos.ru). In addition, since January of this year, all 115 social protection departments and 46 of our client services in the MFC began to work on an extraterritorial principle. Now applications for 53 of the most widespread government services are accepted regardless of the Muscovite’s place of residence. We have restructured the work of our employees so that they become universal specialists. Muscovites are very busy people, many live in one area and work in another; it is inconvenient for them to travel to fill out the necessary papers. Therefore, now you can settle your affairs in the social security department where it is closer and easier for you. In addition, in our department in the Presnensky district, an experiment on electronic queuing began in January. We will gradually transfer all our work into a format convenient for citizens. But this does not mean that we will stop communicating with Muscovites and looking them in the eye. If necessary, we will invite them to an appointment.

Income documents

According to clause. According to clause 6(2) of the Rules for the transfer of children for adoption and clause 4(b) of the Rules for the selection of candidates for guardians, the income of a candidate for adoptive parents or guardians can be confirmed by one or more of the following documents at the candidate’s choice:

  • a certificate from the candidate’s place of work,
  • certificate from the place of work of the candidate’s spouse,
  • any other document confirming the income of the candidate or his spouse - for example, a bank account statement or an annual income statement.

The certificate of employment must indicate the position of the candidate (or his spouse) and relate to the last 12 months of work.

Approximate contents of the certificate

“This certificate has been issued stating that since ___ year (full name) has held the position _____ in the company _____ with an official salary of ____ rubles per month.”

The certificate can be either in free form or in the form of personal income tax-2, at the candidate’s choice.

If the candidate is on maternity leave or child care leave, but maintaining his job, then the income certificate can be drawn up in the same form as proposed above, without any damage to the accuracy of the information.

Other document confirming income

Another document confirming the income of the candidate or his spouse may be a bank account statement or an annual income declaration.

You can clarify the procedure for declaring income at your local district tax office or on the official website of the Ministry of Taxes of the Russian Federation.

Currently, the tax rate on personal income in the Russian Federation is 13%. If you are filing an income tax return to accept a child into a family, it is better to fill it out in two copies: submit one to the tax office, and on the other ask the inspector to stamp the acceptance with a signature and date. This second copy is intended for submission to the guardianship and trusteeship authorities.

The income of pensioners can be confirmed by copies of a pension certificate, certificates from the territorial body of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation or another body providing pensions.

Required income

The amount of income is considered sufficient if it is equal to or exceeds the subsistence minimum established in the constituent entity of the Russian Federation at the candidate’s place of residence, based on all family members, including the accepted (or adopted) child.

When determining the amount of income, the candidate's total cash income is taken into account before any contractual or obligatory payments, for example, on a mortgage loan or due to alimony obligations. According to Art. 80-81 of the Family Code of the Russian Federation, alimony that a parent receives from the second parent for the maintenance of a common child is considered the income of the child, not the parent. Therefore, the guardianship authorities have the right to refuse to count alimony for the maintenance of the candidate’s own child as the income of the candidate himself.

What to do if your official income is insignificant

If your income is small, there are alternatives:

  • Report any other income, including real estate, bank deposits, etc.
  • Include half of your spouse's income on your income statement as described below.
  • Declare the rest of your income yourself and submit a copy of your income tax return.
  • According to paragraph 3 of Art. 127 of the Family Code of the Russian Federation, the requirement of sufficient income does not apply to the adoption of a child by a stepfather or stepmother. And when a child is adopted by a third party, the adoption court has the right to deviate from the requirements of sufficient income “taking into account the interests of the child being adopted and circumstances worthy of attention” (Clause 2 of Article 127 of the Family Code of the Russian Federation). Be sure to include this clause in your adoption petition to remind the court of this exception.

How to verify the income of a non-working spouse

How to confirm the income of a non-working spouse if he (s) acts as a candidate for adoptive parents, guardians or adoptive parents, and the working spouse does not formally participate in the collection of documents?

In this case, according to paragraphs. 2 and 6 clause 6(2) of the Rules for the transfer of children for adoption and clause 4(b) of the Rules for the selection of candidates for guardians, the candidate has the right to submit a document on the income of his spouse. The fact is that, in accordance with Art. 34 of the Family Code of the Russian Federation, property acquired by spouses during marriage is their joint property. Such property includes:

  • income of each spouse from labor activity, entrepreneurial activity and results of intellectual activity, pensions and benefits received by them,
  • as well as other monetary payments that do not have a special purpose (amounts of financial assistance, amounts paid in compensation for damage due to loss of ability to work due to injury or other damage to health, and others).
  • The common property of the spouses also includes movable and immovable things acquired at the expense of the spouses' common income, securities, shares, deposits, shares in capital contributed to credit institutions or other commercial organizations, and any other property acquired by the spouses during the marriage, regardless of whether in the name of which of the spouses it was purchased or in the name of which or which of the spouses contributed funds.

The right to the common property of the spouses also belongs to the spouse who, during the marriage, managed the household, cared for children, or for other valid reasons did not have independent income.

A non-working spouse has the right to report half of her spouse's income as her own. By the way, the same rule also applies in the case when only the spouse has official income, and the spouse cannot confirm his income officially.

Validity period of the certificate

The certificate is valid for one year from the date of issue. The validity of the document is checked at the time of submission of this document to the guardianship authority, which issues an opinion on the possibility of being an adoptive parent (guardian, adoptive parent), as well as at the time of filing an application for adoption in court.
