Re-registration requirements

Route passes are exchanged:

  • The passenger chooses a different date or time of train departure, but the destination does not change;
  • An adult travels instead of a child. The exchange is made with an additional payment in accordance with the cost of the tariff;
  • The client plans to change the class of service;
  • The passenger wants to change the carriage or seat.

For this service, the company charges a commission fee of 144 rubles 70 kopecks. The commission is paid when any travel conditions change. Fees from partner services (railway ticket offices, travel agencies) are not taken into account.

Exchange is possible only at the station ticket office; if the ticket was purchased online, the passenger can only cancel electronic registration. Itinerary receipts purchased using bank cards cannot be exchanged. In this case, FPC offers to return the pass and purchase a new ticket. The limitation is due to the fact that the refund process takes a long period.

Re-issuance of tickets with other carriers (TCS, Grand Service Express) identical to Russian Railways. Paper tickets can be exchanged at the station ticket office, electronic tickets only upon request.

Exchange at the station ticket office

You need to contact the ticket office of the railway station where you purchased the ticket, for example, in Moscow to Belorussky or another station. The passenger must have an old ticket with him, which he will change in the future, and an identity card. The cashier will issue an application on which the tourist must sign.

What methods does Russian Railways offer to change a ticket and get a refund?

  • If the ticket was paid in cash, the difference in cash will be issued immediately.
  • If payment was made by bank card, within a month. If during this period the money has not been received on the card, you must contact the bank branch. Next, a claim statement of the ARN number is drawn up. This number is required to determine the movement of funds in the account.

Note! If the user wants to exchange a ticket for a third party, a notarized power of attorney is required. But, as practice shows, cashiers do not require this document when changing a travel document.

Personal account of JSC Russian Railways

If you need to exchange an international electronic ticket, you can use the services of the official Russian Railways website or the international ticket office.

When a traveler has already left for another country and wants to change his ticket back to another date or time, he must go to the ticket office at the station with a travel document and identification. If the ticket was issued for travel to countries with a visa-free regime, you can contact the ticket office in Russia within 180 days from the date of departure of the train and present:

  • seat return form;
  • a ticket that the traveler did not use;
  • passenger identification document.

If the ticket was issued for travel to foreign countries, you must contact the international ticket office in Russia within 1 month from the date of departure of the train and provide:

  • ticket with a mark of non-use (indicating the date and time of the passenger’s request);
  • application for refund.

If a traveler has issued an international ticket in a Business class compartment for two people, but wants to return only one travel document, he will not be able to do this. Refunds and subsequent exchanges are made only if both tickets are returned.

Step-by-step instructions for exchanging a ticket for another date

You can change your travel document if it was purchased in cash. To do this, the passenger goes to the station ticket office, presenting the following documents:

  • Passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, foreign passport, temporary certificate. For citizens under 14 years of age, a birth certificate is provided. What needs to be presented to the cashier depends on what document the ticket was issued for;
  • Ticket;
  • A statement containing new travel information.

The old pass will be confiscated and a new receipt will be issued in its place.

Exchange is possible only for passenger and high-speed trains. The service does not apply to commuter routes.

-FOOTNOTE-

When completing the procedure for exchanging a travel card, the purchase of a new one is made at the expense of the funds used to purchase the previous ticket.

Passengers who purchased an electronic ticket in their personal account can return it by filling out a claim form. Funds are returned to the account within 30 calendar days.

How to hand over tickets to the railway ticket office and exchange them for another date

According to the rules of JSC Russian Railways, an exchange (or replacement) of a ticket is possible subject to the transfer of the trip only to an earlier time.

In order not to be refused the procedure for reissuing a travel document, you need to first learn about the pitfalls. In practice, contacting the carrier with such a question causes problems.

If a passenger is sure that he needs a train that will depart several hours or days later, then the citizen will have to refuse the ticket and buy another one.

Before changing the coupon, the cashier must ensure that the newly required item is available on the specified date. If this is not possible, then the citizen will be asked to return the coupon with a refund of the money paid minus the required expenses.

Charter flights: how to buy them yourself

Many travelers are faced with the problem of exchanging a ticket for the Sapsan locomotive purchased at the Round Trip fare. This is due to the fact that several situations may arise:

  • Registration of ticket return in the “there” direction. It is impossible to do this. A tourist can only buy a new ticket, both one-way and two-way.
  • Exchange of a travel document in the return direction. Returns and exchanges take place as usual at the station ticket office or on the website.
  • Exchange of two-way ticket. First you need to hand in your travel document for the “back” direction, after which you can return the “there” ticket.

How to reissue an electronic ticket

According to the FPC regulations, changes to electronic travel cards are not allowed. The passenger can return the itinerary receipt and purchase a new one. If the ticket was printed in the terminal, then a refund through your personal account is not available. The procedure will be carried out through the ticket office of the railway station.

If the train departure time is less than 60 minutes, you need to contact the cashier, who will issue a special form. The exchange will thus take a lot of time.

An electronic ticket allows one error in the last name, first name, patronymic or document number. If the value is greater than acceptable, the passenger must go to his personal account and purchase a new pass. The procedure can be completed at the station ticket office upon presentation of your passport and order number.

Changing personal data is subject to a fee of 200 rubles.

The calculation of the amount for refund during the exchange process depends on how much time is left before departure:

  • The full fare is refunded if the passenger returns or exchanges it 24 hours before the train departs;
  • Half of the fare and fare is refunded if the re-registration was carried out within 8 hours.

If travel is carried out by fast train, the exchange will be made at the following rates:

  • More than 8 hours before train departure, the full fare is refunded;
  • More than 2 hours left before departure - half the amount;
  • Tickets cannot be returned or exchanged 60 minutes before departure.

Exchange rules

Aeroflot - ticket exchange

If there are less than 60 minutes left before the departure of the train, and the tourist has completed electronic registration, in order to return the ticket, it is also necessary to fill out an application, which is submitted to the administration for consideration.

In some cases, a passenger wants to exchange an electronic ticket for its paper counterpart. This can be done at the ticket office of the railway station. The employee is required to provide identification of the passenger through whom the ticket was purchased, and information confirming the reservation and purchase online - this can be a document on a mobile device or a printed electronic ticket document.

E-ticket

When submitting a ticket, the returned document will appear in the sales system after 2-3 hours, and if a passenger wants to buy it again, but for another traveler, you need to constantly monitor the site. It should be remembered that the desired ticket can be purchased by any other user.

Note! If a ticket was issued for several people, for example, for an excursion group, a refund is possible for both the entire order and a specific electronic ticket from it.

In cases where a tourist purchased a travel document in advance, but subsequently changed his surname - marriage, divorce, upon boarding he will need to present a new passport, a page in it with the details of a previously issued passport (which are indicated in the travel document) and, in the case of a change of surname , - original marriage certificate.

If a passenger notices that there are any inaccuracies in the entry of personal data in the travel document, it is necessary to pay attention to the conditions under which the travel document is considered valid. There should not be more than one mistake in the passenger’s personal data and one incorrect number in the passport number. Cashiers will not be able to correct a typo that has been made.

Important! If a passenger needs to change the entered information, he can ask for help from the conductor, who has a special terminal. This service costs about 200 rubles*. The traveler will be issued a new travel document. As for errors related to the date of birth, they are acceptable on the ticket if this does not affect the age fare.

When you cannot reissue a ticket

According to the rules, some itinerary receipts cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Travel cards with no space (children 5 years old);
  • Electronic registration for an international route;
  • Travel documents purchased through other operators;
  • Tickets purchased using a bank card outside the country;
  • The itinerary receipt is issued for the 3rd person;
  • You cannot reissue a travel pass to change the carrier, for example: JSC FPK, TKS, Grand Service Express.

If your e-ticket has been lost, you just need to print out a new ticket and a receipt for your order will be sent by email. You can also get a printed electronic registration at the station ticket office. Upon presentation of your passport and order number, the cashier will issue a paper travel pass.

If a paper ticket is lost, it must be restored at the station; it cannot be exchanged or returned in the future.

The main thing to remember when returning a train ticket:

  • You will lose some money. These are commissions, fees, etc. You can read more about the rules for returning train tickets here.
  • You will not receive the money immediately. The only case when you can immediately get money for a ticket is if you bought it with cash and return it at the ticket office at the station. In other cases (the ticket was paid for by credit card or purchased through the website), the refund takes up to 30 working days (usually faster). That is, you won’t be able to use the money from your old ticket to buy a new one.
  • You can’t “just change” it. It is usually not possible to re-issue your ticket to another person while retaining your chosen seat. It will appear in the sales system in 2–8 hours and can be purchased by anyone instantly, immediately after its appearance.

If you need to exchange train tickets at a child fare, please note that you can return or buy them separately from adults, but a child under 10 years old will still not be able to board the train unaccompanied by an adult.
